Sans Pariel 1829
The Sans Pariel of 1829 was of a new design by Timothy Hackworth featuring a return tube boiler and direct drive to the main wheels. It took part in the Rainhill Trials competition, but lost to Stephensons Rocket after its cylinder exploded.
