John Bull
The John Bull was the nickname given by the driver to the Stevens engine owing to its English roots, however by now the engine had received a great deal of modification, the steam dome was moved from the boiler to just behind the chimney stack, this was also altered and fitted with the traditional American spark arrester. The driving wheels were swapped for a more robust cast wheel, also fitted were a cowcatcher, headlight, bell, whistle and a cab.
